Unrelenting Bliss

Upon the grass she rests, her bag being used as a pillow, her brown eyes fixed upon the clouds in the sky, her slender hands intertwined above her belly, how peaceful she seems. And there I am sitting next to her, wishing I could hold her in my arms, wanting to kiss her, to feel the softness of her lips, the warmth of her embrace, yet here I am only sitting next to her unable to do any of that, unable to unravel my feelings. The wind sings for us as I look at her resting figure, the only bliss that can reassure my heart is the smile that begins to show upon her face.
